Because the high-quality sockets form a tight weatherproof seal around the bulbs. This commercial grade light string is a popular choice for tented weddings and special events. The entire cord is 56' long, which includes a 48' lighted length and an 8' lead cord. The suspender drop for each socket on this cord is 7' from top of the cord to the socket.
